About
The Blogathon is a 24-hour charity blogging marathon held every year. Participants chose a charity of their choice and collect sponsorships for their cause. This year, I will be blogging for SAFER.
SAFER is Students Active For Ending Rape. They are an organization which aims to end sexual violence on college campuses and ensure better response to those assaults which do occur by pressuring school administrations to take rape seriously. Most current college sexual assault policies are outdated, harmful to survivors, and utterly broken. SAFER works with students to give them the tools they need to change their own schools’ policies, and supports effective, perpetrator-focused prevention efforts, bystander training, and real accountability proceedings for perpetrators. They also run an amazing blog.
Cara Kulwicki is an online writer who blogs about feminism at The Curvature and Feministe. You can learn more about her here.
